Is parking free?

Yes, parking is free to all water park guests!

Black Beard's Bay is an interactive outdoor water park, with a luxurious warming tub and a relaxing pool.

When did Black Beard's Bay open?

July 2, 2016 was the first day Black Beard's Bay was open. 

Where can I explore employment opportunities?

If you are interested in working for the Black Beard's Bay Team, stop in for an application, or call the office! We are looking for Life Guard Certified individuals. 

How can I make a reservation?

To make a reservation, call Hickory Acres Campground. The number is 419-658-2267. A reservation cannot be made by calling Black Beard's Bay. All reservations must be made through the campground office.

Is waterpark admission included with overnight stays?

No, unless the Camping Water park Combo for a Family of 4 is purchased. See the Information page for more information. 

Are wheelchairs and/or strollers available for rent?

There are no wheelchairs and/or strollers available for rent.

Are pets allowed?

As much as we love animals, pets are not permitted into the waterpark.

Are hover boards, skateboards, or similar items allowed?

For your safety, no hover boards, skateboards, or similar items are allowed on the premises.

Are there places to eat while on property?

Black Beard's Bay offers a full concession stand with chicken nuggets, corn dogs, hotdogs, ice cream, candy bars, chips and much more!

Are there kid's activities available?

There are slides and interactive water stations for the children to have buckets of fun!

Are there retail shops available?

Yes! There is a Black Beard's Bay Gift Shop that offers all sorts of goodies including, t-shirts, towels, and so much more!

Is Internet access available?

Yes, there is internet access. It is limited, though.

How can I secure my valuables while at the park?

Black Beard's Bay offers lockers for rent. They are $1.00 per day. 

Is smoking permitted within the park?

Unfortunately, no. Black Beard's Bay is a smoke free facility.

Can I use the water park without staying overnight at the campground?

Absolutely! Black Beard's Bay offers a daily rate of $16.00 per person, or an individual seasonal pass of $120.00. Click here to see our full brochure!

Are lockers available for the water park?

Yes. Lockers are available for rent for $1.00 per day. 

Are life vests required and available?

For your safety, life vests are required for all children under 48" tall. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own well fitting and life guard approved vest. Complimentary life vests are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Are outside coolers, food, or drink permitted into the water park?

You may bring a small cooler to keep around the food area. Black Beard's Bay also offers a fully stocked concession stand. No glass bottles nor alcohol are permitted inside the park. 

Are water park towels available?

Unfortunately, no complimentary towels are available. You are encouraged to bring your own, otherwise, the sun and fresh air will dry you off quite well! The Black Beard's Bay Gift Shop contains a variety of souvenir towels, as well.

Are changing rooms and showers available for the park?

Yes! A full set of showers, bathrooms, and locker rooms are available at the waterpark.

12:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, Sunday
10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Saturday

Are there water activities for toddlers and smaller children?

All children alike will enjoy the geysers and interactive elements of the pool.

When are swim diapers required and are they available for purchase?

Swim diapers are required for all children under the age of 3 years old. If parents do not bring their own, swim diapers will be available in the water park!
