Well... Hello there.

The keeper of the site....is Cherie Kimpel.  If you really, really need something, you can probably ask me. If I don't know, I'll find out!  This blog is where I will do my best to keep everyone updated on what's going on, but sometimes, work gets in the way.

My Favorite Time...

This is beyond my favorite time of year. Deposits are paid. It's getting colder... it's the last camping weekend...

...

Sorry, everyone! Had to wrestle the computer away from my evil twin. It's such a sad, sad time of year when everyone leaves. That's 5 1/2 months of me, alone, in my back tiny office. It's the worst and longest time of my life!

...

Don't worry, everyone. The sappy one has been locked away, for good. I won't go as far as to say I will miss ALL of you. That would make me a liar! But sadly, this is the last weekend, and it's just about as big as the 4th of July. It's Halloween time for the kiddos. Adults: make sure you buy enough candy. These are not our children! I repeat: these are not our children! Give them as much sugar as you want because they don't come home with us! And seriously, I would have more than 500 pieces of candy. The children. They're everywhere! It's actually quite terrifying.

Ahem.

Schedule:

Friday, October 27 Bingo
Saturday, October 28 9:00 Breakfast
                            11:00 Pumpkin Carving
                            2:00  Scavenger Hunt
                            4:00 Pinantas
                            6:00 Trick or Treat
                            7:00 Hay Rides

Back to matters at hand: The adult Halloween party was AWESOME!! Of course, Mr. Mack never ceases to disappoint me. What goes around comes around. The characters from the Murder Mystery party were amazing, and I have to give all the credit for that night to them. They went along with everything I told them to do, even when they had no clue what was going on. Amazing job, everyone!

REMINDER: There will really be children everywhere this weekend. (If you haven't been around for a Halloween Trick or Treat out here, we have over 500 KIDS). The speed limit is 5 mph. Please, don't be that person.

Happy Camping.

It's That Time of Year Again...

And by that time of year, I mean ADULT Halloween Party time! Sorry kiddos, you have another week to go. As an adult (and yes, I am an adult, thank you very much! At least in age.), it's nice to have the ability to dress up and pretend to be something I'm not, drink a couple (translation: a lot), and have a jolly old time with friends alike. What even better than all that, you ask? The weather. This weekend's forecast looks perfect!

Friday is Bingo. Time and place is a mystery. Good luck.

Saturday, starting at 7 p.m. all adults should report to the pavilion! We're having a bonfire/potluck. Bring a passing dish please! The ADULT Halloween party will be running shortly after everyone has gotten their food. And yes, we're doing another Murder Mystery.

If you don't know what a Murder Mystery party is, and you're over the age of 18, you really should come. Last year was amazing. We had great actors, amazing costumes, hilarious skits, and more improvisation than was appropriate (that means you, Mr. Mack). I don't think I can handle any poems this year, so I gave the man a part where he won't get the chance! This year, the skit is a bit more intense, and a lot more weird. So stop in and see what we are all about! P.S. I still need some volunteers to be dancing virgins... any takers?

Happy Camping!

Off the Bottle, Mother Nature!

Would someone please explain to Mother Nature that it's October! I want 65 degrees, not 85 and humid. It's bow season, and this heat wave makes for bad, bad hunting. If I don't want to move during 85 degree weather, what's to say a deer wants to. Grr! Just grr, Mother Nature.

Rant over.

Haha! Like I would stop talking. This weekend is another slow one. There's a schedule addition of a Euchre tournament at 1 on Saturday in the pavilion. Bingo follows. What time is Bingo, you ask? I'm not telling. Really, read the sign when you drive in. Cherie makes it all pretty every Sunday. If you read that pretty sign, you'll know that electric bills are also read. Pay me!

As always, Happy Camping!
